He has also prepared and reviewed thousands of estate, gift, trust, and income tax returns for his own clients and those of other firms as well as represented those clients against the actions of the IRS, CA FTB and Utah State Tax Commission.

Brent has also assisted taxpayers and examined tax returns while serving for over 10 years with the IRS, including 6 years as an Estate and Gift Tax Attorney.

Brent was born, raised, educated, and began his own accounting, law and tax practice in Ogden, Utah, in 1992 but considers himself a "Californian with Utah pioneer roots" as he has lived, provided community service, and worked in the San Francisco Bay area (in the early 1980's and 1990's) as well as lived and worked in the Inland Empire, Los Angeles and Orange County since 2004.

He also served for 12 years as a Finance (Pay) Specialist in the US Army Reserves and was Honorably Discharged as a Staff Sergeant.

Brent has served as Of Counsel, mentor and friend to Phil Shekerlian for over 10 years.

​

Last, but not least, Brent lives in Irvine and enjoys camping, swimming, going to the beach and other activities with his wife, Peggy (married for over 30 years), and their 4 adult children (plus angel twin daughter), 2 sons-in-law and a grandson with hopefully more grandchildren on the way to enjoy and spoil.
